Coastal Compass is gearing up for FAFSA Saturdays. Students can attend to receive step-by-step assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA.
The FAFSA is a tool used to determine students’ eligibility to receive financial aid. All students who plan to enroll in college are encouraged to fill out an application. The application includes questions on demographic and financial information. Coastal Compass recommends students bring a copy of their 2016 Federal Tax Return and W-2(s) or their parent’s 2016 Federal Tax Return and W-2s.
Workshops will be open to students from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Representatives from area schools including Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Del Mar College, Texas A&M Kingsville, University of the Incarnate Word Corpus Christi Center, and Coastal Bend College will be on-site to guide students through FAFSA applications and answer admissions questions.
