DMC Veterans Upward Bound

To Serve, Support, and Educate

The mission of Del Mar College Veterans Upward Bound Program, in support of the College and the Division of Student Engagement and Retention, is to provide U.S. military veterans with supportive services that will ensure they have the motivation and skills to enter and graduate from a post-secondary institution.

To accomplish this mission, the program will identify eligible veterans and provide:

• Supportive services based upon the educational needs of the individual veteran, to include but not be limited to admissions, financial aid, and academic remediation, which will improve their chance of success and academic achievement;
• Resource identification and appropriate referrals; and
• Encouragement; and will track their progress through certification or degree completion.
